Youth Environment Services (Y.E.S.) Corps

The establishment of the Youth Environment Service Corps in Dominica greatly assisted in addressing the challenges of environmental stewardship and youth identity crisis. The programme aims to impart vital skills - social, work, life and knowledge of a wide range of environmental issues to young persons, thereby enabling them to become responsible managers of their own future as well as Dominica's future.

The programme proposes to train youth in various modules and fields including:

  • Forestry
  • Wildlife and National Parks Module
  • Agriculture Module
  • Marine environment Module
  • Waste energy and consumption Module
