4-H Programme

Primary School Children at a 4-H Meeting 4-H is a non-formal, educational program. The learning experiences in 4-H are designed to help youth apply what they learn to real life. The participants set goals, build confidence, learn responsibility and make decisions. The 4-H philosophy is "learn by doing". Through the projects that youth select, they develop the skills that help them develop their potential, and succeed in life.

The goal of youth development is for youth to gain life skills that result in productive, caring, capable citizens, who are prepared to transition into adulthood.

From the youth perspective, 4-H is having fun with friends, doing activities that are interesting, and being with caring adults who support and encourage them.
